Fine English large ebonised three train longcase clock, the 16″ brass rounded arched dial fitted with a 13″ silvered engraved chapter ring with Arabic numerals enclosing a subsidiary seconds dial and applied foliate pierced cast relief, with subsidiary strike/silent, chime/silent and Whittington/Westminster dials to the arch, the substantial movement with deadbeat escapement and maintaining power, chiming on eight tubular bells, the case with long glazed door decorated in relief with applied foliate symmetrical designs over the base with raised shield inlaid with a basket of flowering foliage suspended in a cartouche, the hood with canted corners and foliate scrolling brackets, surmounted by a rounded arched moulded cornice, 98″ high (steel rod regulated pendulum, three brass cased weights, eight tubular bells and keys)
